I've been doing my own inner work for as long as I've been coaching others through theirs.
Jen Ostrich is a Behavioral Leadership Coach, podcast host, and creator of The Work of You
Jen's path to this work is what makes her different. She spent 14 years inside the advertising industry — not just as a leader, but as someone immersed in the art and science of building brands. That path gave her a distinct lens: the foundational questions of building stellar brands — who are you, what do you stand for, how do you show up consistently — turn out to be the same questions every leader needs to answer about themselves. That insight became the foundation of her coaching practice and ultimately the heart of The Work of You.
In 2012 she launched her coaching business beginning with a focus on developing female leaders in advertising before expanding to work with leaders across industries, organizational levels, and leadership challenges of every kind. Today she works both with individual leaders and with leadership teams — bringing the same depth of self-awareness work into a collective context.
In 2025 she launched The Work of You podcast, bringing self-development into the workplace in a way that is psychologically grounded, practically useful, and immediately applicable to how leaders lead every day.
Trained at the Hudson Institute and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) since 2016 through the International Coaching Federation, Jen has been a certified Integrative9 Enneagram practitioner and student of the model for the last decade. She uses it not as a personality label but as a mirror to help leaders see their patterns, understand their motivations, and close the gap between who they intend to be and how they actually show up.
Jen is also the co-author of Feedback Reimagined (Modern Wisdom Press; 2023) and co-founder of the Shift Positive® Method — a strengths-based approach to feedback grounded in Positive Psychology. Her work through the Grow Collective spans 1:1 executive coaching, team coaching, leadership workshops, and keynote speaking.
Jen is a graduate of Penn State University and proud of her Philadelphia roots. When she's not working, she's eating her way through Austin, TX with her outrageously handsome senior Vizsla/Lab mix, Koko.
Because the hardest person you’ll ever lead…is you.
